The L Word

Ok.....we now know that this pitiful season was not a dream and that next season is indeed the last season of The L Word.

Last night's episode was a good one. While I was happy to see Helena come in and save the day with "The Planet" I was struck by the sense of pity I had for Jenny when she walked in on Shane and Nikki. Yes yes I know.....I am the one (along with countless others) who thought Jenny should be killed off in some freakish movie set accident because I was simply fed up of all of her "big headed" antics. I did feel empathetic when she walked in on those two "in action". It was Shane at her finest but I never thought she would do it to Jenny. I think in those types of situations there really isn't much thinking going on period.

So now what could in store with Season Six? I surely hope that the last season is filled with some creative writing moments with storylines that don't teeter on the edge of lunacy. Let's get back to the basics. I hope they can end the season with a few surprises but with closed chapters so that we are not all sitting there wondering what more could have been.

I loved that they had Helena back on this episode. Overall, I enjoyed this season. I think it may have been one of my favorites.

I just hope the next season doesn't have all the story lines wrap up in one episode like this past season. I liked this past season better than the one before it but I don't believe Jenny's head could deflate that fast...I would have expected more temper trantrums!

Head deflation....they could dedicate all six episodes to it!

agree w/anonymous. (okay, i know who you really are because we had the same conversation on the phone!)this season seemed kind of lamely constructed... i could have done without the whole She Bar couple from hell. Though I was glad to see the one break free. As for Shane... well, old dogs, no new tricks. and frankly, i must have missed the story line where she and jenny became such good friends. i do believe shane is a softy beneath the slick exterior. so she has a heart --- just doesn't know how to truly share it.

glad helena came back in such fine fashion.

i don't know, i kept waiting for something more to happen at the end. sure walking in on your 'best' friend and your girl is traumatic... and wow, i must stop there because i suddenly had an image that i just can't handle on a wednesday...

I only hope for two things next season:

1. The Paris Hilton appearance is a filthy dirty lie.

2. That SOME kind of lesbian-focused drama follows in its wake so I have something new to watch compulsively.

Egads! Not a Paris Hilton appearance!! I hadn't heard that rumor and I do hope it is only that!!
