What's your carbon footprint?

I was curious so I checked out this website - http://www.carbonfootprint.com/calculator.aspx to see how badly I was contributing to the demise of our species.

I was amazed. My foot could eliminate a small city!!!!

I did it - 11.318, the average in most industrialized countries, but better than most Americans. This is fascinating. Even more so because I am not as conscious as I should be about these things, but still manage to do quite a bit.

I think you did pretty damn well. However, I did notice when I was in California that you all tend to be a lot more green than those of us in the midwest. My truck is the enviromental menace I think. Sheeeesh! You think I was driving a Ford 250 SuperCab or somethin.....

At least I sold my SUV... mine's about 18, a bit smaller than the US average if I'm reading correctly. Oddly, we're doing this at work as part of a green effort.

This is an eye-opener. I got a score that was slightly less than average, but I do drive an SUV, primarily for saftey reasons with my long commute here in New England. Scary.
