Between the Uprights

  • Cover your eyes if you don't want to read about it..........reports say that former OSU runningback Maurice "I want it my way" Clarett will be one of the chosen few cut in the first round by the Denver Broncos. There is no telling what type of football career he would have enjoyed but as I said.........he wanted it his way. Enough said..........
  • The Bengals season opener with the Browns is slowly approaching. Our faith still sits with Marvin as we watch the Bengals suffer through the pre-season. Unfortunately, the fans still remember the 1990 seasons vividly..........Who Dey!
  • And finally to my pals in Boston who eagerly await the Patriot's opening game.......it will be interesting to see how they get along without Teddy and Charlie. Wait......it shouldn't matter because Tom Brady "is" the team. I am amazed at how he is so resilliant and resistant to injury. All it takes is one full moon crazy defensive lineman to make old Tommy's day........or season. Good luck Patsies!

Ahem....for one thing, it's Tedy ~ 1 D :)

Funny thing is, the attitude up here in New England seems to be one of confidence and glad that there is change, we all like a little challenge and to seeing what the new staff can execute.

According to NFL rules ~ if Brady was the only one on the field, that would be a penalty ~ we try to stay away from that nasty yellow flag. The Pats have always prided themselves on having TEAM players. I do believe our success also lies within the talents of Troy Brown, Deion Branch, Faulk, Flutie among numerous others ~ hence the TEAM ~ OH ~ and don't forget Corey Dillon who as we all know is DAMN glad to be out of Cincy. He's a changed man. Maybe you're just disappointed that he didn't wreak havoc here. Sorry for the disappointment ~ not!

I think we have it under control up here in New England. You have enough to worry about with your Bungles without getting all up in our business ;)

Have a good season!

Wait.....I think I can speak for everyone in Cincinnati - some of whom received a jersey, a shoe, shoulder pads and a helmet from Corey......hasta la vista baby! In one or two years....when his age really shows....he will be just one player who will be released because the Patsies can't return to the "big dance". He was fortunate to go to a team who was able to get to the Super Bowl - without him!

As for Corey being a "changed man".....you'll get used to that statement. He is a chameleon!

Tedy, Tommy, Billy, Bobby.....whatevah!
