Well..........the conservatives (Ann Coulter's and the like) are absolutely foaming at the mouth that Bush would make such a dumb decision as to name someone with no judicial experience to the Supreme Court. This is quite surprising since they usually sing his praises. The fact is no one knows which way she will go and this makes her a threat.
I think she is a dead ringer for Faye Dunaway in "Mommie Dearest" myself.

Yeah.... but this way - when they deny her... he can come back and say.... 'Well I nominated a woman and they said No' before bringing in the 'big hammer'.

i think this is yet another example of the man's limited understanding of his job as president. if you're a true conservative with an agenda you believe in (not just the one Karl Rove and Karen Hughes whisper in your ear) and you can't even do this right... for the right, what does that say? personally, i find it amusing...
